Agnes Derrick is a Lawyer in our Litigation + Dispute Resolution team. Agnes has pre-admission experience in the areas of Building and Construction Law, Litigation, Dispute Resolution and Insolvency. Since her admission in March 2017, Agnes has practised exclusively in the areas of Litigation, Dispute Resolution and Insolvency.
Prior to working in the legal industry, Agnes’ background in events and marketing developed her strong grasp on identifying a client’s needs and overarching goals to develop the best strategy for that particular client.
Clients from all walks of life can find themselves in situations which call on Agnes’ high level problem-solving and analytical skills. On a day-to-day basis, Agnes deals with a range of advisory and litigious matters, such as debt recovery, bankruptcy and winding up actions, building and construction disputes, estate disputes and other civil disputes the subject of Court or Tribunal proceedings. Agnes is passionate about giving her clients the legal support they need during what can at times be, overwhelming and stressful for her clients.
Agnes understands the personal and commercial impact her work has on her clients. Keeping this front of mind, she strives to work closely with each client to achieve the best possible outcome in every situation.
Agnes is also passionate about keeping our local legal community connected. As a Committee Member of the Downs and South Western Queensland Law Association, Agnes proudly supports the provision of personal and professional development opportunities for all lawyers in our region.
Outside of work, Agnes enjoys getting creative with music and dancing, spending time with family, and exploring new places.
