Advising employees

You are here: Home / Expertise / Advising employees

If you have been asked to respond to allegations made against you in relation to alleged misconduct, performance or potential breaches of post-employment obligations (such as breaches of restraint of trade and/or breaches of confidentiality), you may require legal support or assistance.

CGL can assist you by:

  • Reviewing the correspondence received to determine what information we believe should be highlighted to the employer or former employer in response, and
  • Reviewing the applicable documentation you may have to support your responses and collate that information to  ensure that your story is effectively communicated to the employer.

Responding to allegations made by your employer or former employer can be very intimidating, emotive and stressful. CGL removes the emotion from the situation to provide concise and practical advice as to how to address the issues which have been raised.

Unfair dismissal

We assist employees who believe the may have been unfairly dismissed by an employer.  If you have concerns about a recent dismissal or you feel you are being unfairly pressured to leave a job please contact us urgently as time limits apply to making unfair dismissal claims.

Harassment and discrimination

The Australian legal system has comprehensive rules that are designed to protect employees from suffering harassment or discrimination in the workplace.  If you believe you are being treated improperly please contact us for information and advice.
