Director ID Key Dates

You are here: Home / News / Director ID Key Dates

From 1 November 2021, all existing company directors are required to apply for director identification numbers (director ID) by 30 November 2022. Our own directors report that the entire process takes less than five minutes. You can read more about director IDs in our previous alert here.

Important dates to remember 2022

Up to 4 April 2022 all new directors must apply for a director ID within 28 days of their appointment.
From 5 April 2022 all new directors must apply for a director ID before their appointment.

How to apply

Applications can be made through the new ABRS website, using your myGovID and must be done personally, not on behalf of someone else.

If you require more information on the new director ID’s, or are worried that these new director ID provisions may affect you or your business, please don’t hesitate to contact our Commercial + Property team.
