Clifford Gouldson Lawyers would like to announce the launch of a $50,000 grant designed to boost the efforts of a start up business and help it get to the next level.
This grant is being offered by Bolter. For those of you who may be unaware, Bolter is CGLaw’s innovative new service dedicated to assisting small business and startups. Bolter was due to launch with an event and considerable fanfare earlier in the year before COVID-19 upset our plans!
Following a “soft launch” Bolter’s team is now led by CGLaw’s own Brisbane based lawyer Simon Playford and boasts a range of online services with a bricks and mortar office in Brisbane’s inner city.
Director, Ben Gouldson, said that “there is a call for a law firm that focuses on the unique needs of new business owners. Our Bolter team have an outstanding knowledge in commercial and corporate law but also the compassion and understanding needed to guide fragile new business owners through the maze of regulations and red tape that are often overwhelming for those new to the world of business.”
Bolter powered by CGLaw has launched its Little Giant Startup Grant to recognise and promote the incredible entrepreneurial spirit of Australians and give one lucky business a super-boost.
The competitive Grant, which includes $25,000 value of legal advice from Bolter and $25,000 in cash, is available to provide a boost to one new business through the startup process – whether that’s at conception, commercialisation or beyond.
The objective of the Little Giant Startup Grant is helping Australian entrepreneurs take their business to the next level.
“We’re looking for applicants with a brilliant idea they need help getting off the ground, or business owners who have gotten the foundations laid but could really benefit from a helpful push,” said Simon, Head of Bolter.
“2020 has definitely been a weird ride, but it’s also presented a unique opportunity for many Aussies to take the plunge and start a business or devote more time to developing their side hustle.”
“People can spend years imagining their dream business, but never actually take the first step. Through this Grant we want to encourage those who have already taken that step to take the next one – and inspire those who have always wanted to, to jump on in.”
“The Grant is available to all types of emerging businesses – tech innovators, problem solvers, family businesses and more.”
“We hope that the Little Giant Startup Grant will be the motivation that Aussie startups need to back themselves and their business, and by participating in the grant process business owners will become a part of the Bolter community.”
As Australia’s first state to appoint a Chief Entrepreneur, Queensland has a strong track record in investing in the startup community, and the Little Giant Startup Grant is twice the value of grants offered to date by the Queensland Government under the Advance Queensland programme.
“The expression of interest phase is now underway and will run until Friday November the 13th. Eligible expression of interest candidates will be invited to submit an official application in mid November,” said Simon.
The Little Giant Startup Grant is open to all eligible startups, so if you or someone you know can benefit from this grant you can register to submit your registration for the EOI phase here.
