In June 2020 the Fair Work Commission announced a 1.75% increase to minimum wages. This applies to all award wages and is being rolled out in three stages.
The third and final stage of the 1.75% minimum wage increase took effect on 1 February 2021. The main awards that are affected are Accommodation and Food Services, Arts and Recreation Services, Aviation, Retail, and Tourism.
Employers should ensure that all affected modern award wages are increased accordingly from 1 February 2021.
