Dear Clients, Colleagues and Associates,
With the current concerns within the community about the COVID-19 virus we wanted to let you know about the proactive steps Clifford Gouldson Lawyers is taking to minimise the potential impact on the provision of our services.
Attending our office
At the current time, our office is still open and available for clients to attend for appointments. We anticipate that this will remain the case so long as there are no Government instructions to the contrary.
We are strictly following the Government recommended protocols around personal hygiene and have available at reception and within the office the appropriate facilities for hand washing and hand sanitising.
We have no instances of COVID-19 amongst any of our staff and are not aware of any contact our staff have had with the virus. However, to be as cautious as possible, we are requiring any team member who is displaying any flu like symptoms to work from home.
If you do not feel comfortable attending our office for an appointment we have a wide range of options available for you to provide instructions or otherwise engage with our team. We continue to take instructions via phone, email and video-conferencing. Our facilities allow for easy video-conferencing from our office to any personal computer, tablet or mobile phone.
In line with Government recommendations and to ensure our office continues to be available to assist our clients we ask that if you have recently travelled overseas, have come into contact with someone who has travelled overseas or are displaying any flu like symptoms that you avoid meeting with us in person.
Ongoing operations
Clifford Gouldson has been taking steps over the last few weeks to ensure that we can continue to operate largely unhindered in the event that a direction is issued for people to no longer attend their places of business.
This includes a firmwide remote access arrangement, pre-shutdown testing and use of our existing online based Teams communication system.
We note that the Queensland Courts system is still operating as usual with trials and administrative operations continuing. As a result we do not expect any impact on litigious matters at this time. Although this situation may change.
Legal impact on your business
We are currently preparing a legal alert dealing with some critical issues for your business as a result of COVID-19 events and hope to circulate that later today.
We also invite you to contact us to discuss any concerns you may have regarding employment, contractual issues or other legal matters that may arise due to these unusual circumstances.
During this difficult time we also just want to wish everyone the best of health and please take care of yourself and others.
Regards
Ben, Danny, Amanda and the team at Clifford Gouldson Lawyers.
