Combustible cladding – first deadline approaching

You are here: Home / News / Combustible cladding – first deadline approaching

Do you know if you are required to undertake a cladding audit for your property?

The first deadline in the State Government’s combustible cladding review process is 29 March 2019. If your building is caught by the process and you haven’t undertaken the online checklist by that date, you will be forced to the next stage, which requires you to engage a building professional to complete a statement regarding your building.

The online checklist may be all that is required, so we encourage all building owners to consider their position before 29 March 2019.

For more information from our previous alert on this topic click here.

If you require assistance complying to the Regulation please contact a member of our Construction Team.  If you are buying or selling a property that might be affected by the Regulation please contact a member of our Commercial + Property Team.

Need some help in-house to get ready?

If you need a more personalised service we currently offer a ‘mini-secondment’ service where an experienced construction lawyer can come and spend a day in your office, reviewing your processes and documents and giving tailored advice at a reduced hourly rate.
