Clifford Gouldson Lawyers is now seeking applications from local artists for the relaunch of our highly regarded Artist-in-Residence Program.
After several years hiatus the program will again offer one local artist the opportunity to work in and develop a profile with the Toowoomba business community.
For the successful artist the program offers a workspace within our Toowoomba office, a weekly stipend over 8 weeks and an end of residency launch event with the firm’s clients and contacts.
Director Amanda Tolson said the previous Artist-in-Residence Programs were a wonderful experience for everyone involved and with so much of the Arts sector having suffered since COVID arrived it seems the right time to restart this program.
“As well as the opportunity this Program represents for the artist it also provides tremendous benefits to our staff and our clients and contacts,” she said.
“Working long hours in an office many business people have little or no contact with the many talented artists in the Toowoomba community.”
“With this Program in the past our team have gained an insight into how truly creative people work and they get to have a go at creating some artistic works themselves.”
“I’m sure everyone in the office enjoyed the time they spent with our previous resident artists, Maryika Welter, Christene Just and Laura Crane, and their commitment to working with us and connecting with the wider business community through the Program was greatly appreciated,” she said.
Applications for the Program close at 10am on Monday 9 August 2021.
