White card changes coming 1 February

You are here: Home / News / White card changes coming 1 February

A recent update from Master Builders Qld provided a useful reminder about the changes that are coming to the General Safety Induction (White Card) system on 1 February 2019.

These changes include

  • You’ll no longer be able to get a White Card online unless you live more than 100km from a registered training provider offering face-to-face delivery.
  • If you lose, destroy or have your Blue Card stolen it will no longer be replaced with a White Card – you’ll need to re-sit the course.
  • If you need to replace your White Card you’ll need to supply to the training provider a copy of the statement of attainment that you received with your White Card. If you can’t, you’ll have to re-sit the course.
  • If you hold a White Card attained in another state and you need a replacement card you‘ll either have to re-sit the course or seek a replacement from a registered training organisation in that state.

NOTE: You can still work if you have a Blue Card. You do not need to upgrade at this time.
