Print Version

23/02/2017

The Fair Work Commission has just handed down a decision reducing the Sunday penalty rates in the hospitality, retail, fast food and pharmacy sectors.

They have also reduced public holiday penalty rates under the hospitality, restaurant (excluding casuals), retail, fast food and pharmacy awards.  Public holiday rates under the clubs award, which were also being considered, remain unchanged.

We will provide a more detailed analysis of this decision at a later date but in the interim you can review a summary of the decision here.
