Clifford Gouldson is pleased to announce the appointment of two new heads of section in our Litigation and Construction practice areas.
Harrison Humphries takes on the role of Head of Litigation while Kylie Howell becomes the Head of Construction. Their appointments commenced late in 2015 so they are each hitting the new year running in their new positions. These roles will involve conducting the major matters in each of their respective sections as well as managing workflow and client service for these areas.
Kylie joined the firm in January 2011 and has consistently demonstrated her expertise and understanding of the needs of construction industry clients. Kylie's calm and steady no-nonsense approach to both front end and back end construction advice means that she’s a perfect fit for this tough area of the law. Recently, she spearheaded the successful resolution of several major matters which involved representing local construction industry clients against state and local government, Transfield, Powerlink, QGC, AGL Energy and Balfour Beatty UGL.
Harrison joined the firm in July 2013 and has established himself as a hard-nosed litigator who is never afraid to go in to bat to protect his client's interests. His thoughtful, measured and sensitive approach to a wide range of legal disputes combined with his patient, unflappable nature and quiet confidence, provides the perfect blend of skills for the broad variety of litigation disputes Clifford Gouldson's clients face. In particular, Harrison has quickly engendered trust, confidence and respect with many of the firm's long standing clients. In his time with the firm, Harrison has resolved several large disputes for a national franchisor, a national insolvency firm and a major regional fuel distributor.
The elevation of Kylie and Harrison to these new roles will allow Director Ben Gouldson to further develop the growing Tax, Structures & Planning and Intellectual Property practice areas. Mindful of the wealth of litigation and construction experience Ben retains he will provide an ongoing consultant style role with both Kylie and Harrison when required.
Senior Consultant Brian Conrick will also continue to bring his many years of experience to bear in providing high level strategic advice and support across the firm's Litigation, Construction and Resources practice areas.
