Print Version

4/06/2014

The Fair Work Commission has today announced that the minimum wage will increase to $640.90 per week or $16.87 per hour.

The decision means the minimum wage will rise by $18.70 a week which is very close to a middle of the road decision between union and business group demands.

Unions had been calling for an increase of $27 a week while business groups said the rise should be restricted to $8.50.
