Prior to legal practice Sheelagh spent more than 10 years as a registered nurse. This experience has given her a level of understanding of the medical and emotional issues that can affect families in making decisions in times of stress that is rare in the legal profession.
Sheelagh is a regular speaker on estate planning amongst community groups and her “down to earth” approach ensures her clients feel as comfortable as possible discussing what can often be very challenging and emotional issues.
Sheelagh recognises the importance of giving back to the community including through her participation as a member of the Toowoomba Local Ambulance Committee and the management committee of St Stephens Toowoomba Meals on Wheels service.
As a long term resident of the Toowoomba region Sheelagh is active in her children's school activities at Toowoomba Grammar School and Fairholme College.
